Philips 5000 series shaver disassembly
December 27, 2011
I was repairing a Philips shaver type 5000 series, which is the low-end of hair clippers. I knew the problem would be in the switch, so I decided to take it apart and see what to do.

The razor went badly disassembled, but fortunately it wasn't glued together, so it was successful in the end.

Then I just unplugged, disassembled and cleaned the switch and it works again :-).

I was surprised, however, how there is nothing actually in the razor.
The original price of the razor was about 700-900Kč, on sale without a crown for 500Kč.
Estimated manufacturing cost zero plus a handful of rice, but the main cost is in shipping.
As you can see, the quality of the machine is not much. And since the machine is not waterproof, it can't last long either.
After two weeks the machine stopped working again, so I solved it by removing the switch straight away!
repairs goodbye and consumer goods goodbye
